will find this blog useful. Astronomy is an addictive subject. Many amateur astronomers enjoy Astronomy and Night sky observations as a hobby.
Although there are plenty of sites packed with knowledge on astronomy, very few gives any support for Astronomy Quizzes. This blog hopes to fill that empty space. Originally designed to help as a guide to practice quizzes, this has developed into an online resource enjoyed by people of all ages. This blog complements the sister site ‘AstronomyQuiz.info’ that hosts the online the Astronomy Quizzes.
I have used my experience gained as a member of the astronomy quiz team and later as a judge for school astronomy quiz competitions. My involvement in starting Sir Arthur C. Clarke Memorial Quiz Competition (now the largest astronomy quiz competition among Sri Lankan schools) gave me hands on experience in organizing a quiz competition. Although I rarely participate in competitions now (even in the capacity as a judge), this blog and accompanying website, give me an opportunity to share my knowledge and to engage myself in the wonderful world of Astronomy Quiz.
